Jamaican Sight Seeing

So I have to start with the coolest part of the day first…drumroll please…

WE SAW A STINGRAY while we were snorkeling. And while I was watching him, a school of silver fish swam into me and started nibbling on my legs. I have found the perk to my sunburn: I look like a giant yummy strawberry, which translates into fish food.

This tops yesterdays experience of holding a sea urchin and letting it crawl in my hands. We learned the shells we’ve been balling donuts were once sea urchins.

A correction to yesterday…the silver fish did not have pink bellies. They do, however, have beautiful yellow tails. I think this proves I would make a bad person at picking out someone in a line-up.

The other exciting adventure for the day was taking the Hobie sail boat out by ourselves. Brandon did a great job as a sailor!!! And I just enjoyed the rides. I now call him my Poppey.

For lunch today we ate at the pizza place again. I had the same vegetable pizza because I love ackee. Brandon was more adventurous and tried the surf ‘n turf style pizza. It had 5 or 6 different seafoods on top…including octopus!! He called it “muy delicioso”.

Other than that, we have spent most of the day relaxing on the beach or in the pool. I built a small sand pile and decorated it with rocks. During my dig, I found a small shell for our collection.

We are hoping to have dinner on the pier tonight, then catch the dive-in movie about 9:00. No major plans. We just want to relax and enjoy our time together. This has been one of the best weeks of my life. I wish it was just starting instead of rapidly coming to a close.
