In his message today at Trinity Baptist Church, Pastor Andy Coats talked about letting go of the negative thoughts and finding the positive in everything we go through.
**** 2 Corinthians 10:5 ****
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

As humans, we are programed to go to the negative when bad things happen to us.
But there’s good news. We also have the power to frame anything we face and look for the positive in it instead.
Everything God does in our life is ultimately for our benefit. It’s often hard to see the positive in the moment though, unless we remind ourselves God is using the “difficult” moments to shape and grow us, and a more positive moment is coming.
Any default negative setting you have should be replaced with a “Holy Ghost Upgrade”. Ask God to help you show forgiveness, grace, and praise, even in the tough times.
To overcome the default pattern of negative thinking, you have to seek devine power.
3 Ways to Take Every Thought Captive
- Renew Your Thinking
Let got of what culture says and focus on what the Word of God Says. - Refrain Your Thinking
How you talk to yourself determines how your mind will store information. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. What you say should give grace to others. - Take Your Thinking Captive
Control your own thoughts. Don’t conform to the pattern and customs of this world. Instead, be transformed.
